Short Trip to Toronto, Ontario

We made it to Toronto. Met up with my daughter and her husband. Had a great time. As a matter of fact, we had so much fun that we forgot to take pictures or videos ;>)

Even though we travelled by Porter Airlines, our NEXUS cards were of no value other than as ID in Thunder Bay, but they certainly helped shorten our time getting through security in Toronto.

If you are in Toronto and get a chance, make sure to see “The Temptations” at the Princess of Wales Theatre. We had a great three hours, and learned a little about the history of this iconic group.

Mysteriously Yours, dinner theatre at the Eaton Chelsea was fun. The meal was a fairly restricted buffet, with fruit or tiny iced muffins for dessert. The meal was okay, but the show was great. We will certainly go back.

The Eaton Chelsea Hotel was, well it was a hotel. Old, stately, with great mattresses. We always stay there when we are downtown in Toronto. There was a little mix-up with our rooms, and the GSA went out of her way to make it right, and then some. She comped our parking and sent us a little treat of sparking water and chocolates. Service done right.

Future Plans

We’re now waiting to hear back from our agent, so that we can plan our next cruise. We are also waiting to hear from our CAA agent regarding a land trip to Italy and Switzerland. We’ll post more as we hear.
